| Assemblage of carved wood & copper strips: copper wire~crocheted net attached by coiling on brass nails; coiled on copper & wood cylinders with amethyst, peridot, copper, mother-of-pearl, glass, quartz & Bali-style beads. The application of over 20 thin layers of transparent & translucent mixed media produced the final colors. Mixed media included: crushed pigments & metals, flame, resins, acrylics, solvent dyes, mica, inks, glass enamels, waxed & lacquer. |
