The uniqueness of the mixed media assemblages intrigue patrons interested in original fine art.

I'm continually told how the interaction of the carving, metalwork, rich coloration and three dimensionality makes this artwork "fascinating, stimulating, captivating, exciting, exquisite..." and how impossible it is to capture all the "magic" in a two dimensional medium like photography.

Thanks to all of you attending the various shows and visiting the website for your continuing support and feedback.

Show shots from the St. James Court Art Show - 2009

The St. James Court Art Show was held October 2, 3 & 4, 2009.

It's easy to see why everyone agrees St. James Court is a beautiful location for a juried fine art show!

Patrons from other states and from throughout Kentucky come to see the great artwork presented by artist from arounld the world and to enjoy the setting at the center of historic Old Louisville.

As I have been doing lately, I started a new Mystic Portrait piece that I worked on during the 3-day show. Because the first day was drizzly and it was chilly throughout the weekend, it helped to keep my hands busy.

I always find it rewarding when patrons want to talk "Art." It is even better when they are not shy about asking questions about art in general or about my work in particular.

I experienced a first during this show. I was interviewed by reporters of two local TV stations, Fox 41 and NBC Wave 3. They also showed examples of my work.

It was interesting to find out how many individuals who stopped by had seen the TV coverage and to see their delight in recognizing the pieces featured during the interviews.
